The Crackberry
For years I always looked past the smartphones. I didn't really do much on the cell phone besides recieving calls and texting, infact, I didn't really see a better use for a cell phone. Years ago, I did try a Treo for a short time, but didn't really need all the extra features and thought it was just to big.
My first step into actually owning a Smartphone was the LG s720 with a Windows Mobile OS. Now, besides the slider keyboard, I hated it, oh man did I hate it. The OS would slow down after extended use, constant freezes and reboots. Now, I might have just gotten a bad phone, but either way it made me do nothing but pull my hair out. I wouldn't recommend this phone to anyone.
I figured I would give the smartphone another try though, this time, staying away from Windows Mobile phones. So, after reading as much as I could, I decided to go with a Blackberry Curve, and oh man, did my world open up! Even after all the research I did on the Blackberry, I still couldn't believe how feature rich these phones are. It's been a couple of years and I'm still learning, but my goal is to eventually own each model that Blackberry makes, why? Just because I can. The idea of waking up and being able to choose which Blackbberry to choose from just makes me gitty. I'm on Telus right now, but I'll be making the switch over to Rogers very soon so I can start using SIMS to switch between phones.
I'll be discussing features and things you can do with your Blackberry as time moves on. I'll ofcourse start with preventitive maintance. You have to remember, these smartphones are mini computers, so you have to maintain them the same as you would your own computer, this prevents slow downs and problems you'd normally have with a smartphone, the same as you would with your computer.
Anyways, this was a quick blog to start me off. I'm at work right now so I had to rush this.
